We wish to enlighten that we do not carry out operations via WhatsApp, telephone, or e-mail for Individuals, nor do we demand any previous deposits as guarantees, registration, fee, insurance, or deposit as a condition to a loan or financing concession for our clients.

General tips for fraud prevention

Know some measures you can take to prevent scammers to use your data, resources, and accesses.

  • We don’t send e-mails asking for your Bank’s access credentials (Ex: login, password, and Internet Banking token). Please forward any e-mail or suspect notification to , and we will validate the information for you.

  • In case it’s necessary to use unknown Wi-Fi networks, always prefer those which offer encrypted authentication. This way, you reduce the risks that someone can access or steal your data. Avoid connecting on open and public networks.

  • Always use strong passwords following the orientations given on our platforms, and don’t use the same password twice.

False Customer Service

According to the Federação Brasileira de Bancos (Febraban), 70% of cases involving financial institutions are related to fake employees and fake customer services.

The scammers get in touch passing as bank’s employees to obtain your confidential data, passwords, and tokens.

They simulate a fake Customer Service through phone calls, with recordings and menus, to make the clients believe they are speaking to Banco Fibra.

  • We never get in touch asking for access data, passwords, or tokens.
  • Never inform or confirm your access data, passwords, or tokens to anyone, even if they say it’s an emergency.
  • Do not type your password or token on websites without being certain they are safe.
  • Do not click on links sent by e-mail or suspect SMS. Always check the sender to guarantee its safety.
  • We don’t carry out operations via WhatsApp, telephone, or e-mail.


Cases of people being scammed on WhatsApp are more frequent every day. Check some of the most used scams so you don’t suffer from this problem and know how to protect yourself.

Cloned contact

The scammer clones the account or number of contact from someone you know and send you a message using their face asking for money for an emergency. The message usually has the baking information so you can deposit the requested value.

How to protect yourself

When you receive a message like this, call the person immediately and confirm before taking any actions. If indeed is a fraud, do not answer the message.

Confirmation code through SMS

You receive a call from a company reporting a problem. To solve it, the scammer requests a code number sent through SMS, which is the security number of your account. When you inform the number, you give the scammer access to your account.

How to protect yourself

Never confirm information sent to you or inform passwords and other secret data. Instead, read the messages carefully and attentively, and pay attention to the security warnings.

Other precautions:

  • Activate the two-steps confirmation on WhatsApp: access Configurations > Account > Two-step Confirmation and create your sequence.
  • Never make banking transference without being certain it is reliable.
  • Do not click on links or make file downloads without confirming directly with the sources and original websites.
  • Do no fill out registering forms that ask for too many information about yourself.

Loss or theft of mobile devices

Cases of victims from scams and frauds by loss or theft of mobile devices are more frequent every day.
That’s why we have prepared some tips to help protect your data from such an event.

Beware of email requests:

Safety with your data:

  • Create a strong password that won’t allow third parties to access your device;
  • Do a constant backup of your information on a cloud device, thus avoiding data loss;
  • Leave the remote tracking service on your device always turned on (iCloud for iPhone and Find my Device on Android);
  • Avoid using notepads to store secret or sensitive information;
  • Leave the double-checking factor of your accounts always turned on, thus hindering the non-authorized access to your device.

In case of loss or theft of a mobile device:

  • Get in touch with us and request blocking the access to Internet Banking: +55 11 4130-7440 or
  • Get in touch with your telephone operator and request blocking your line;
  • If your telephone has been stolen, do a Boletim de Ocorrência (B.O.) on the nearest Police Station or digitally through the Police website.
  • Let your contacts know about it in case someone gets in touch using your telephone number or e-mail;
  • Access the remote tracking service to track, block, or even exclude your data remotely;
  • Get in touch with your bank to request blocking your credit card if you have saved data such as digital wallets on your mobile.
